Vincy Mas 2025: Purple Army & Carnival Triumph
After last year’s disruption from Hurricane Beryl, Vincy Mas 2025 was a powerful return to celebration. The Carnival Development Corporation called it “a resounding success,” and the judging results, like Problem Child’s double win in Road March, echoed that energy.
Band Energy & Carnival Vibes
Purple Army was on fire—their energy fueled the road and the crowd. Another band, Oxygen, also stood out by bringing non‑stop vibes to masqueraders and spectators alike.
Food, Rum & Island Moments
The food scene was unforgettable. Sunset rum drinks set the tone, curry goat and buss‑up‑shot filled bellies, and the boat party offered a carnival experience like no other. A timely Bequia trip added the perfect island escape to the week.
Spotlight Moments
Problem Child’s “Fraid Horn” and “Pong Pong” secured first and second place in the Road March competition, dominating the standings with unmatched energy on July 8.
Official Praise & Looking Ahead
The CDC chairman praised the event’s smooth execution and safety, highlighting the Steel and Glitter night and Calypso Finals and mentioning the increased visitor participation in J’ouvert and t-shirt mas.
